I am a textile artist and designer specialising in natural indigo. Growing and looking after the plants from which I extract indigo is at the heart of my practice, allowing me to be present throughout the full cycle of the work, from seed to finished piece.

Over a decade ago, whilst living in Japan, my exploration of indigo began and continues to this day. In England, I carried this research forward and co-founded Indigo Garden London, a space dedicated to promoting slow and sustainable indigo dyeing.

Further fieldwork in Japan, India, Vietnam, and England has enriched my artistic practice, as well as my research into the deep connection between indigo, land and identity.

I founded INDIGO BLUEFIELDS in 2013, a textile-based art practice through which I also lead educational workshops.

My artwork has been exhibited in Japan, England, the U.S.A. and Spain.
